1837 online.com
1837online.com is based in London, England and is part of an independently-owned business that is dedicated to providing high quality genealogical services to professional and non-professional researchers.
1837online.com is a sister company to Title Research, an independent business which has existed for nearly 40 years and provides probate and succession genealogy services to lawyers and corporate and public trustees around the world. Uniquely in its industry, Title Research provides a range of services endorsed by The Law Society of England & Wales and is also certified by the British Standards Institute as an Investor in People, with the total quality standard BS EN ISO 9001-2000 and with the standard for the secure management of information BS 7799 -2:2002.
As part of its day-to-day work, Title Research used to consult the microfiche version of the birth, marriage and death indexes extensively. Some time ago the business took the decision to computerise these records for internal use. However, we soon realised that it would be possible to make the computerised records available to other interested parties over the internet - and 1837online was set up to do this.
