The Lothians of Scotland are made up of West Lothian, Midlothian and East Lothian and sit on the banks of The Firth of Forth estuary surrounding the capital city of Edinburgh.
WEST LOTHIAN has much to offer with rolling hills, country parks and a wealth of historic attractions and heritage sites to keep any visitor enthralled. Linlithgow is an engaging town with Linlithgow Palace, The Canal Centre and the Linlithgow Story whilst just outside Edinburgh you can visit Hopetoun at Queensferry or Blackness Castle nearby.
The region of MIDLOTHIAN is just a 10 mile drive away from Edinburgh and couples undualting hills and wooded countryside with a wealth of heritage sites including Rosslyn Chapel, an outstanding 15 century Gothic structure amde famous for its carvings and, more recently, its association with Dan Brown's best seller "The Da Vinci Code".
Last but by no means last is EAST LOTHIAN which boasts a magnificent coastline, beaches, golf courses, enchanting villages, museums, galleries and historic attractions none better than Lennoxlove House which is has a marvellous setting amongst the woodlands a mile south of Haddington. East lothian also enjoys more hours of sunshine than anywhere else in scotland which makes it a popular destination for holidays and weekend breaks.
