Bed and Breakfast in Oxfordshire, England.

Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, Oxfordshire

An inspiring county of hills and valleys, centrally placed in mid to southern England and borders Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. Oxfordshire by the Thames or Western Oxfordshire in the Cotswolds is particularly pleasant.

A huge attraction here is the county town itself of course, romantically labelled the city of ‘Dreaming Spires’. Oxford is like no other town in England and it is easy to imagine some of the worlds greatest minds finding initial inspiration here. Beyond Oxford to the west lie the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, village after village of stunning stone houses and welcoming inns. A visit to the ancestral home of Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace, is highly advised.

To the north, the lush and fertile Cherwell Valley is centred on the famous town of Banbury and Sulgrave Manor, the home of George Washington’s family, is a massive draw for North American visitors.
