AYLESFORD
With a population of around 5,000 and situated off the M20 about 4 miles north west of Maidstone, Aylesford is probably most famous for its Priory - The Friars. It has been suggested that Aylesford was the site of the Battle of Medway during the Roman invasion whilst the manor of Aylesford was originally owned by William the Conqueror.
