Arts, Crafts and Fairs in Kent, England.

Leeds Castle, nr Maidstone

Situated in the South east corner of England, bordering London, Sussex and Surrey, Kent is often referred to as ‘The Garden’ of England - so named for the profusion of fruit, flowers and vegetables grown here. Kent has more historic houses than any other county - Knole, Penshurst Place, Chartwell, Finchcocks, Groombridge Place, Scotney, Hever, Tonbridge Castle, Chillham, Canterbury, Dover, Rochester and Leeds Castles to name but a few. These are dotted about the glorious Kent countryside and in between lie the hop gardens, the trees in blossom and, in Autumn, the orchards laden with fruit.

Kent is also home to most of the major ports in the south east - Dover, Folkestone and of course the Channel Tunnel - which means that you could awake in one of Englands prettiest villages, spend the day shopping in Paris and be home well in time for tea!
