Cadogan Hotel online: information and bookings

The hotel offers twelve en suite rooms with compilmentary breakfast. In 1895 a gentleman of a rather dubious nature known as Gordon Chetwynd sold what was known then as Rutland Cottage to the fifth Earl of Cadogan. The Earl numbered amongst his closest friends Edward Price of Wales, later to become King Edward VII. Rumour has it that the King himself became a frequent visitor to the hotel and was known to have entertained the beautiful Lilly Langtry. Secret passages are said to exist between Cadogan Hotel and the King's quarters at Palace House. Kevin and Julie Reed have owned The Cadogan since October 2002 and have undertaken a continual improvement programme. The bedrooms, bar and restaurant have been upgraded with further refirbishments taking place.(These do not take place whilst guests are staying.) This has included the membership of the Bedford Lodge Hotel which our guests may use for an additional £5.00 per person per day and the installation of commercial showers. It is anticipated that the remaining three bathrooms will be replaced and upgraded during 2005, and Wi-Fi installed for Internet access throughout the hotel. This is a family-run hotel offering a friendly service to all our customers. Kevin and Julie look forward to welcoming you in the near future.
