Kingston Maurward Gardens and Animal Park are a well established tourist attraction in Dorset attracting over 30,000 visitors a year.
The Gardens are grade II listed and whether you are a serious gardener or just someone who is looking for a beautiful place to visit they will not disappoint you. There is a huge variety of plants and trees to see and don’t miss the walled garden which is a really peaceful spot. The gardens are tended by just 5 full time gardeners with help from students on various types of Horticulture courses.
The Animal Park was established in the early nineties and offers the Animal Care students an excellent facility to care for a very diverse range of animals.
The Park has recently become a member of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust and will extend its range of rare breeds and breeding programmes over the coming months. Children love our friendly animals and the Park is an excellent place for them to play and have a picnic.
