Clarendon Hotel online: information and bookings
In the eighteenth century when the Clarendon Hotel was built, Greenwich was one of the most powerful places in the world.
Now as public interest is drawn here for the new millennium, the hotel provides the visitor with an ideal base to visit the famous National Heritage sites, just a short distance away across the green of Blackheath.
The Old Royal Observatory, in Greenwich Park, Wren's Royal Naval College (now Greenwich University), Indigo Jones' Queen's House, the National Maritime Museum and Cutty Sark, lend some balance to the ultra modernism of the Millennium Dome, Canary Wharf and the Thames Barrier.
Indicating the quality of the hotel, our bedrooms are all very comfortably appointed and tastefully decorated. Many offer a panorama of Blackheath, looking north Towards Greenwich.
All rooms are ensuite and of course, all are centrally heated.
Terrestrial and satellite television, direct-dial telephone, coffee and tea making facilities, hairdryers and radios etc. are standard features in all rooms.
Our website provides for today's information-seeker and email messages are taken and sent on request by our experienced office staff.
The Clarendon has always prided itself in its first rate Room Service where quality and promptness are watchwords - a sign of a quality hotel. A menu is to be found in your room, and you can order from Reception.

Restaurant
Blackheath Village and the centre of Greenwich town may have a wide choice of restaurants and pubs to lure the hungry and discerning visitor, but the Meridian Restaurant at the Clarendon proudly hold its own against severe local competition.
In keeping with a comfortable Georgian hotel, the Restaurant has been running successfully for many years, consequently our staff are highly experienced.
From the maitre d' to the chefs and silver-service waiters and waitresses, the staff are always on hand and constantly looking for ways to excel in their professions.
The menus available in the Restaurant for lunch and dinner allow you to choose from a wide selection of both international and fine English cuisine. Our Sunday
Carvery is second to none. Not surprisingly, our chef strives very hard to please his guests.
