Eton College online: information and bookings

Eton College, founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, is one of the oldest schools in the country. Its historic buildings are an integral part of the national heritage and it is with great pleasure that we invite visitors to experience and share the beauty and traditions of the College. We would ask visitors, however, to recognize the fact that this is a residential academic establishment and not primarily a tourist attraction, and to respect the privacy of those who live and work here. Please note the following in particular:

Daily guided tours of one hours duration for individuals, or pre-booked tours for groups can be arranged.

Open from March to early October.

Times vary so it is best to check with the Visits Office. The gift shop in Eton High Street shows a video of the modern school.

Facilities
Daily Tours cater for individuals and small groups (fewer than 8) throughout the season.

No prior booking is required, but it is advisable to telephone +44(0)1753-671177 beforehand.

The tours start at the main entrance to the College and include School Yard, Lower School, College Chapel, The Cloisters, and the Museum of Eton Life. The commentary covers not only a description of the surroundings but also an insight into the history and activity of the College from 1440 to the present day.

In case of alteration, please check prices, opening times and any specific important information before booking or visiting
