The little church, largely Saxon, is said to stand on the site of a Roman basilica built about AD. 350. Nestling in an area of serene and natural beauty it is frequently the subject of an artist's brush. Only slightly further afield are the attractions Fishbourne Roman Palace and Chichester City with its cathedral and renowned Festival Theatre. A short stroll from Boshams's lovely waterfront is this unusual and highly attractive bed and breakfast hotel intriguingly named 'Hatpins'. From the moment you walk through the door you become aware you see entering a very special home, with that distinctive ambience normally associated with the best of English country house hotels. The warmth and friendliness of the owner Mary Waller is complemented by her creative talent and natural flair towards decor which has been allowed free rein; and nowhere is this more obvious than in the en-suite bedrooms with their remarkable variety of drapes, decorations and furnishing.
