Monteviot House Gardens online: information and bookings

Monteviot House, Jedburgh , home to Chief of Clan Kerr , originally was a early eighteenth century lodge which through the centuries has been come an eccentric and tangled mixture of architecture. Inside the House are portraits of each Marquis of Lothian up to and including the present 13th Marquis, alongside many historic artefacts and paintings. Attached to the House is a Chapel remodelled to Schomberg Scott's design in 1962.

A small Museum containing more artefacts and a small reception containing guidebooks and postcards, opens to the public in July.
