This former coaching inn is beautifully located in a moorland village with views of Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor. A warm welcome is extended by the resident proprietors, who have gone out of their way to make guests feel at home.

The comfortable bedrooms all have en-suite facilities, colour televisions, direct-dial telephones, mini-bars, tea/coffee making equipment and are double-glazed, soundproofed and centrally heated.

The restaurant, popular with residents and non-residents alike, offers a good selection of dishes, ranging from traditional bar snacks to more substantial house specialties.

Directions
Wheddon Cross, as its name suggests, sits on a crossroads near the centre of Exmoor. From here you have easy access to all parts of the National Park.

The medieval village of Dunster is 6 miles away, with the seaside town of Minehead a further 3 miles. The pretty villages of Selworthy and Bossington in the National Trust owned Holnicote Estate are worth a visit, as are Winsford and Exford.
