Although most of the coaches and carriages which once clattered across the cobbled courtyard of this 16th century Coaching Inn have long since disappeared, the tradition of hospitality and warm welcome are woven deep into the fabric of the Molesworth Arms.
Old World charm is not just to do with the rich oak panelling in the hotel bar, the four poster bed or the deep, comfortable furniture, it is to do with the genuine hospitality which greets you at the door.
The richly panelled hotel bar with its beamed ceilings and cheerful log fires provides an ideal meeting place for family and friends where you can soak up the real atmosphere of Cornwall, while the public bar is always alive with the hubbub of the day’s events in this busy market town.
The hotel’s own Coachhouse Restaurant offers a relaxed and elegant atmosphere where you can enjoy individual dishes, such as giant sizzling prawns in hot garlic butter, fresh local seafood and shellfish from the fishermen at Port Isaac and Padstow or Salmon straight from the River Camel while the locally famous Coachhouse Steaks appear as a regular feature on the restaurant’s menu.
