“Striving to be a Christian Community of Worship, Welcome and Care”
Thousands of visitors come to Ely Cathedral each year, from all over the world. Few are ever disappointed, for there is something here for everyone. Lovers of architecture will rejoice in the many different styles, blending to make the whole. History abounds around every corner, and the beauty created by artists in wood, stone and glass is everywhere.
For young people, we offer a variety of experiences and activities that support and enrich the National Curriculum.
For adults, public debates and lectures provide opportunities for reflection on moral issues and Pilgrimage Tours and Ely Experience weekends give a unique insight into the Cathedral and its meaning.

WEDDINGS
Ely Cathedral offers an unforgettable venue for your wedding.
We are able to offer a comprehensive service including the ceremony, reception, flowers and photographer. The ceremony takes place before the High Altar in the Presbytery dedicated in 1252 in the presence of King Henry III. The fourteenth century Lady Chapel provides an alternative venue. Both locations can accommodate up to 250 guests, with the Reception following on the lawn of the Cathedral’s Almonry garden.
CONFERENCES
Situated opposite the main entrance to the Cathedral on Palace Green, the Cathedral Centre offers an excellent, well equipped venue for a conference, seminar or business meeting.
The centre is designed with the needs of the physically disabled in mind. There are wheelchair facilities, a lift, ramps and disabled toilet facilities
