Bekonscot Model Village & Railway online: information and bookings

Good things do come in small packages! BE A GIANT in this miniature wonderland where nobody grows up. Established in l929 Bekonscot Model Village captures a delightful and timeless image of a lost age, depicting rural England in the l930’s. An unforgettable day out for everyone. Any surplus is given to charity.

There are seven charming little villages in a l.5 acre miniature landscape of farms, fields, castles, churches, woods and lakes. Walking around you’ll tower over the tiny population enjoying the fun of the fair, the zoo, or lazily watching the cricket match. Interesting buildings include castles, a Tudor house, thatched cottages, and a replica of Enid Blyton’s ‘Green Hedges’. There are also moving models, such as a coal mine, nodding donkey, and the fun fair.

Bekonscot boasts the ultimate train set. Its historic Gauge 1 line has been famous since 1929 for being one of the largest and most complex in Great Britain. Complete with full size signal box and lever frame that controls up to twelve trains at a time. Enjoy a ride on our 7¼ inch narrow gauge railway which runs throughout the season. In our Education Centre find out more about the history of Bekonscot and our models.
