Dyffryn Gardens and Arboretum online: information and bookings

Set in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan countryside only 10 minutes west of the centre of Cardiff, Dyffryn Gardens is an exceptional example of Edwardian garden design.

The beautiful grade I registered 55-acre estate boasts many interesting features typical of this period including a series of wonderful outdoor Garden Rooms, sweeping Formal Lawns, a Fernery and Statue collection as well as an impressive and well stocked arboretum; all of which help to make Dyffryn one of Wales’ top gardens.

Although Dyffryn House is still closed to the public, it has recently undergone major renovations works to the exterior of the building, helping to restore it to its rightful place as the stunning centrepiece of these beautiful gardens.

An extensive restoration programme, part funded by the Heritage Lottery Funding, is due for completion early 2011 with the reinstatement of the glasshouse within the newly restored walled garden.

Owned and managed by the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Dyffryn also holds a wide range of events throughout the year from family fun days to horticultural weekends. Indeed, there’s something to suit everyone.
