We are a small private hotel offering our guests a personal and friendly service. The house is set in 20 acres of secluded gardens on the banks of  the beautiful river Teith in the heart of the Trossachs. We have fourteen bedrooms and several gracious public rooms, giving us many cosy corners for our patrons to hide away in our unique country retreat. Keen attention to detail and a long tradition of quality service, help please and satisfy those who visit. Our restaurant recommended by the Automobile Association as one of the top twelve eateries in Scotland and  within the  best 10% of UK establishments.

The Roman Camp Country House is personally managed by Eric & Marion Brown, who have presided over and cared for the house since January 1989. With our dedicated team we take great pride in ensuring the unique qualities and character of this special country house are maintained, so that guests can enjoy its qualities again and again.

Weddings and Conferences
The restaurant, built during 1997 with its oval shape and great fire place, compliments the hotel beautifully, there are lovely views of the gardens and the walls are hung with tapestries hand stitched by Elizabeth Esher during the 1930’s. The room is normally set for 60 covers at 19 tables, so there is lots of space as the room can seat up to 120 covers for a group booking.  The tables are set with Silver, Crystal and draped to the floor with Damask cloths. Our restaurant currently has a 3 rosette award from the AA for the cuisine, placing us within the top 10% of UK restaurants.
