Didcot Railway online: information and bookings
See the steam trains from the golden age of the Great Western Railway. There are steam engines in the original engine shed and a recreation of Brunel's broad gauge railway with a replica of the 'Fire Fly" locomotive dating from 1840. On Steamdays the engines come to life with rides in the 1930s carriages along a typical country branch line and there is a regular programme of special events throughout the year including 'Day Out with Thomas'.
Didcot Railway Centre is situated at Didcot Parkway rail station with direct trains from London Paddington, Bristol etc. It is signed from the M4 (junction 13) and A34. The Centre is open at weekends throughout the year and daily during most school holidays and from late May to early September.
