Gloucester Cathedral online: information and bookings
This exquisitely beautiful structure was built as a place of prayer to God and as a place of Christian pilgrimage. I hope that you will come and visit us in person and you will see it, too, as a pilgrimage. Prayers are continuously offered, either quietly in one of the chapels, by the candle stand or by joining our daily worship. Prayers have been offered here for over thirteen hundred years, now also through this website.
Only the very best is good enough for God and that is why the cathedral was built of the best materials and is continually being restored in the traditional way. Gloucestershire people are enormously proud of this stunningly lovely building but we are equally proud of our reputation for being one of the friendliest cathedrals in Britain. I very much hope that you will find a warm welcome, and may you leave this place refreshed and uplifted.
