Burpham Country House offers luxury bed and breakfast accommodation set in the heart of the South Downs near Arundel, West Sussex.

With its flint and thatched cottages, Norman Church and stunning views over the chalky uplands of the South Downs, Burpham fully deserves its reputation as one of the Sussex's prettiest villages.

Originally an eighteenth-century hunting lodge, and then the family home of the author Reverend Tickner Edwardes, Burpham Country House offers a tranquil setting and luxury surroundings amidst the wide skies and rolling hills of the Sussex downlands.

Steve and Jackie Penticost now offer a perfect location to escape the stresses and strains of modern life. With ten en-suite bedrooms we offer you the perfect venue for at relaxing get away or the ideal place for that special occasion such as celebrating an anniversary, special occasion or simply the base for exploring the South Downs Way or attending national sporting events such as Glorious Goodwood, the Festival of Speed and Arundel Cricket week. We offer weekend evening dining with a locally sourced three course menu and an extensive wine list. We are fully licensed.

Our rooms have been recently refurbished and offer a range of choice,from stunning rooms with downland views, to four poster rooms with luxury limestone showers, or superkingsize beds with luxury bathrooms.

Use our Crabtree and Evelyn Aloe Vera toiletries to pamper yourself, and if you are in a luxury room, wrap yourself in our fluffy bathrobes and indulge in our chocolates.

We specialize in exclusive use whole-house letting for house parties or sporting events.

Restaurant
The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Sundays for dinner for residents, Tuesday to Saturday for non-residents. Prices are from £21 for two courses, and we are fully licensed, with a small bar.
