Close to the city of Perth lies Scone Palace, situated on one of the most historic sites in Scotland, and the one-time crowning palace of Scottish Kings on the Stone of Destiny. In spite of being only two miles from the centre of Perth, Scone Palace retains its rural charm and peace. Today it is the hereditary family home of the Earl of Mansfield, and is a place that any visitor – or native – to Scotland cannot miss. In the Palace are magnificent contents and priceless collections, whilst outside are gardens, wooded grounds and the famed pinetum (David Douglas of David Douglas Fir fame was born at Scone), peacocks and animals, maze, gift shop, produce shop, restaurants – and even a children’s playground.

Restaurant
The newly extended Old Servants' Hall Coffee Shop serves home baking and savoury snacks throughout the day. All sandwiches are freshly prepared on the premises each day, and include everyday favourites as well as a number of new introductions. The Old Kitchen Restaurant is also available for booked lunches and daily visitors during the months of July and August.
