It is a well known fact that since Miller Howe opened in 1971 to visitors, Food and Travel writers have all boldly stated the hotel has the finest view of any property in the Western Lakes. The food is now in the capable hands of Head Chef, Jamie Roberts.

The hotel was founded by celebrity chef John Tovey who remains a consultant now that Miller Howe is under the ownership of Charles Garside, a former international newspaper editor. The new approach to Food for the 21st Century is receiving critical acclaim.
