Bantock House Museum and Park online: information and bookings
Bantock House Museum is a restored Georgian farmhouse set within 43 acres of parkland and surrounded by beautiful formal gardens. Visitors can explore the period setting of the former family home and discover stories about the Bantock family and other Victorians who helped to shape Wolverhampton. The museum has permanent displays of exquisite locally-made decorative arts including japanned ware, enamels and steel jewellery and a programme of temporary exhibitions that cover themes relating to local history. A range of children's quizzes and activities ensure there is something for all the family and popular annual events - including a 1940s weekend and a Victorian Christmas - provide plenty of variety.
The delightful courtyard café serves a range of delicious meals and snacks, and can also provide buffets for larger groups. In the park visitors can enjoy the beautiful formal gardens, picnic areas, children's playground and pitch and putt.
The house is fully accessible for visitors with disabilities and offers hand-held guides with British Sign Language interpretation for Deaf visitors, guided tours can be pre-arranged and there is coach parking on site.
