The hotel was built originally as a country house in 1794 on the site of a hunting lodge on the estate of Henry VIII’s Oatlands Palace. It was also home to the Duke and Duchess of York until 1820.
Today the hotel stands in ten acres and over looks the beautiful broadwater Lake. It is ideally located for both business and pleasure with many facilities including a private 9 hole par 3 course.
