Set in 500 acres of spectacular Devon countryside, just outside the beautiful Georgian town of Modbury, Shilstone captures the imagination as soon as you drive through the stone pillared gates.Rolling hills, woodlands, lakes and wildflower meadows surround the Shilstone estate and the sun-filled walled garden, complete with tower and stone fountain, looks out over tiered pools and valleys, making it the perfect location for our mughal tent.

Nothing at Shilstone is standard. You will not find wedding packages. Nor will you find ubiquitous wedding furniture or a standard marquee. Instead, Shilstone offers a journey. You are invited to design your day, progressing through the house and immediate gardens to the concealed walled garden and Shilstone mughal tent. With its unique combination of traditional and contemporary, Shilstone provides a canvas on which you are able to design a truly unique wedding.

Directions to Shilstone
From Cornwall and the West - exit the A38 at Ivybridge and follow the B3123 to Ermington. After passing Ermington Church on the right turn left down a small road just before a school sign. At the bottom of the road turn left onto the A3121 and take the second right signed Sheepham. Proceed up the hill to the crossroads and turn left. After approximately 1.5 miles turn right between the stone gate piers into Shilstone drive.

From Modbury - head north up Brownston Street and after leaving the town take the second left signed Mary Cross. Go down the hill and up the hill passing Weeke Farm on your left. Turn right at the T-junction and after 200 yards right again between the stone gate piers into Shilstone drive.

From Exeter and the East, exit the A38 at Wrangaton, turn right at the T-junction and follow the A3121 to the crossroads. Turn right and after a few hundred yards bear left behind the Ugborough garage signed to Shilstone. The drive is approximately 2 miles on the left and accessed between stone gate piers.
