Set in 6 acres of gardens along a private drive, Lindeth Howe is the perfect place for a relaxing break. It was once a family home for Beatrix Potter and her mother where she illustrated two of her famous books.

Lindeth Howe boasts fine views to Windermere and the fells, has 36 modern bedrooms, including singles, doubles, twin, kings, family rooms and four posters.

Other facilities include an AA Rosette Restaurant, comfortable and spacious lounges and bar area and its own in-house pool and leisure facilities for guest use only.

Lindeth Howe is just a mile south of Bowness on Windermere and an ideal base for exploring the lake District. Water activities, walking, golfing and fishing can all be arranged through the hotel.

The seasonal menus offer a variety of fine foods whatever time of the year you choose to dine. We will do our upmost to help with any dietary requirements. Our Executive Head Chef, Marc Guibert continually upholds our excellent reputation for fine dining. We have been awarded two AA Rosettes and we recently won the Lancashire & Lake District Life Magazine's Lake District Restaurant of the Year Award. Our chefs strive to prepare food exceeding this excellent standard.
