Hutton-in-the-Forest online: information and bookings
Historic house and gardens, belonging to Lord Inglewood’s family since 1605, based on a medieval Pele Tower with substantial additions in 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. It contains fine collections of period furniture, tapestries, portraits and ceramics. Beautiful 18th century walled garden, 19th century topiary, 17th century dovecote and woodland walk with named specimen trees.
Hutton is surrounded by beautiful gardens and grounds. It is known that there were elaborate gardens around the house from the late 17th century. They have evolved since that time but the basic elements can still be seen and are a wonderful background to the plants and flowers.
