This atmospheric Stuart mansion nestles on the banks of the river in leafy Richmond-upon-Thames and is in the care of the National Trust. It has remained virtually unchanged for 400 years and is internationally recognised for its superb collection of textiles, furniture and art which have remained in the House for centuries.

This hidden gem has featured in many lavish film and television productions, including ‘Little Dorritt’, ‘Young Victoria’ and recently, ‘Never Let Me Go’ and ‘Horrible Histories’.

The garden is being restored to its former glory and features the iconic Cherry garden, the Wilderness and the picturesque kitchen garden, which supplies the Orangery cafe with fresh produce.

The Great Hall is licensed for civil ceremonies and receptions for up to 400 can take place in a marquee in the Orangery garden. There is a meetings room available for hire and the Orangery functions room can be hired in the evenings for receptions, parties or other events.
