Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden online: information and bookings

Fairhaven Woodland and Water garden is a secret hide away in the heart of the Norfolk broads. Boat trips run daily on the private broad from April to September and at weekends during October.

The garden is 100% organically managed and uses many traditional practices such as coppicing. This truly unique garden is the setting for a host of unusual shrubs and perennials and is a haven for wildlife.

Spring is an excellent time of year to see the amazing display of Candelabra primulas and Rhododendrons, whilst the Summer months see the garden become an excellent venue for afternoon concerts.

Autumn in the garden is perfect for kicking through the many leaves which are later composted and sold as leaf mold. It is an excellent garden fertiliser, and is especially beneficial for Azaleas and Primroses.

Winter in the garden is the best time of year for sightings of otters, deer and kingfishers as well as the many migrant birds that over-winter on the broad.

After your relaxing stroll make sure you pay a visit to the eco-tearoom for a fair-trade tea and a homemade scone. The plant sales and Gift shop stock a great selection of local produce and unusual gift ideas.
