Hilltop Farm is a medieval Grade II Listed building farmhouse set in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District.
This historic building has been luxuriously restored to preserve its special features including 400 year old beams and log fires with stunning conservatory views towards Dovedale across the beautiful Peak District.
The farmhouse offers spacious 4 bedroom luxury self-catering accommodation, sleeping up to 7 people, with plenty of room for everyone to relax with large spacious rooms throughout.
Hilltop Farm has been used as a PEAK PRACTICE filming location and we are pleased to welcome those interested in the popular ITV series.
Facilities
Heathcote is a small hamlet of 15 dwellings, with history going back well into medieval times, it used to be on the main route east from Hartington.The farmhouse is situated in three acres of land along with our recently converted barn. Three fields have been used for grazing of Aberdeen Angus, now we have our neighbour’s horses. The house is set in a beautiful private garden looking towards Dovedale and Wolfscotedale to the South and The Tissington Trail to the North. There is secure off road parking.Hilltop Farmhouse is medieval and was extended in Georgian times. It is Grade II Listed because the original house has retained some rare features such as 16th century wooden curtain wall in the hall / dining room; inglenook fireplace and rarest of all, several oak barred windows. There are many antiques in the house. It has a lovely large Georgian lounge, large, beamed medieval dining room, south-facing conservatory and farmhouse kitchen. Old stone floors and rugs add bags of character.Upstairs there are four bedrooms, one king, one double, one twin and a single. There is room for a cot in three of the bedrooms. There are two bathrooms with w/c, one with a double shower and one with a period, roll-top bath. Both have heated floors.

Peak Practice, the popular ITV series, was filmed inside and outside our Farmhouse and one of the Barns was transformed into Alex Hollingsworth’s furniture workshop – the film crew and some of the cast were on site for 3 months! During your stay you will see the workshop door with his name on it, and we can show you a short clip of film shot inside the Farmhouse.Peak Practice is set in the beautiful Derbyshire village of Cardale.
