A vital haven for wild flowers and invertebrates, Belton Hills is home to a number of rare species. And, despite its proximity to Leigh Railway Station, it is a sanctuary crawling with life. This reserve, which commands stunning views out across the adjacent Two Tree Island, is considered of 'national significance', with over 667 invertebrate species recorded, including the rare shrill carder bee, found in just seven other areas of the UK.
