Spencers The Garden online: information and bookings

It is set in parkland with many fine, mature trees and surrounded by gorgeous gardens recently renovated by renowned landscape architect Tom Stuart-Smith. In spring and summer the 1 ½ acre walled garden overflows with a rich variety of blooms, a huge tumbling wisteria, armies of 'true-blue' Lord Butler delphiniums, a mass of roses and much more. The woodland gardens are full of mystery with pathways that curl away into the distance and a beautiful Chinese bridge. As featured in Country Life and English Garden. Former home of Rab and Mollie Butler of Saffron Walden and the famous 1920's explorer Augustine Courtauld. The Venue including the park, the gardens and reception rooms in the house are available for events such as: lectures, corporate team building, wedding receptions, filming on location, concerts and private parties. Throughout the year there are a number of events organized by the Spencers team. These are: open gardens, Invitation to View events and Midsummer Music @ Spencers Jazz Festival For a full listing of our special events for 2009 please go to our website: www.spencersgarden.net
