Nestling at the heart of stunning countryside, conveniently situated right on the border of West Sussex and Surrey, Linacre Lodge is the perfect place to stay either for a short break or longer.

Our luxurious, light and airy, en-suite bedrooms all have views over our private gardens and beyond to acres of woods and farmland belonging to our neighbour, the Baynards Estate.

On arrival you can expect a cup of tea or coffee served with homemade cake or muffins and breakfast is served around our kitchen table. We offer a freshly cooked, locally sourced full English breakfast as well as some lighter options.

Whether you're looking for a relaxed getaway with lazy mornings followed by leisurely outings in the afternoons, taking a picnic and exploring the local countryside or something a little more active then Linacre Lodge makes the perfect base.

At Linacre Lodge we have one large individually styled room and one suite, each with their own bathroom. Each room has far-reaching views over the stunning local countryside. They feature large, comfortable beds dressed in crisp white linen, soft, thick bathrobes for those lazy mornings, as well as stacks of soft, white towels and pampering goodies in the bathroom.

In each room you will find a LCD TV and radio, free WiFi access, a hospitality tray complete with homemade biscuits and a selection of current magazines and books.

Breakfasts are served round our kitchen table from 08:00 - 10:00am, but early risers won't miss out! We offer a locally sourced, freshly cooked 'Linacre Lodge Full English' breakfast as well as some lighter options such as freshly baked croissants, toast and homemade jam, fresh porridge served with maple syrup, a sausage or bacon sandwich or seasonal fresh fruit with yoghurt. Of course we also cater for vegetarians and any other dietary needs. Whatever option you choose will be accompanied by freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly brewed coffee, a selection of teas or hot chocolate.

In the evenings we can provide, on request, homemade pizza and popcorn in your room. Alternatively, we can make a booking for you at a local pub for dinner.

Leisure facilities
If you wish to explore the surrounding Baynards Park area then you can pick up numerous footpaths just outside the house.

If you are a keen walker or cyclist and wish to spend the day exploring further afield, then Linacre Lodge sits in a unique position just 100 yards from the point where The Down's Link crosses The Sussex Border Path, giving direct access to over a hundred miles of bridleways and footpaths crisscrossing Surrey and West Sussex.

If you would like any help with planning your walk / cycle ride then we would be delighted to help and provide maps, directions and suggestions as to the best pubs to visit along the way. We can also provide a packed lunch on request.

Dogs are welcome to stay with you at a slightly increased cost (see our booking policy for more details)

We have the facility to dry out wet clothes and muddy boots overnight and if you are staying more than 2 nights then we also offer a laundry service.
