Thursford Collection online: information and bookings
The Thursford Collection is like no other museum you have ever seen or will find anywhere else in the world. Walk into a glittering Aladdin's cave of majestic old road engines and mechanical organs of magical variety all gleaming with colour.
Robert Wolfe stars live in the mighty Wurlitzer show, and there's a programme of music too from Thursford's nine very different mechanical pipe organs.
Old farm buildings, transformed into a small village with a touch of Charles Dickens' England, house the Thursford Shops. The Pantry/Sweet shop has a large selection of preserves, pickles, wines, and other perishable goods, many of them locally made including our own fudge made on the premises.
The Stable shop has gifts for all ages including cassettes, CD's and videos of the Thursford music plus a picture gallery. The Corner shop has a vast range of collectable gifts and home accessories for all ages and tastes. The famous Thursford Christmas Shop is also open everyday and stocked with unique and unusal Christmas items.
Time for refreshment? Try a cream tea on the lawn served (weather permitting) from the garden conservatory. Light snacks and hot or cold meals are available under the fine timbers or our traditional Norfolk barn. Nearby, in our period style ice-cream parlour you can sample our delicious homemade ices
There's no age limit when you take a nostalgic trip back to childhood on our switchback roundabout with it's Venetian Gondolas, exotic in gold and glitter and Myriad colours, or for the children there is a Junior Gallopers ride or a free adventure play park.
There's free parking for 1,000 cars and 30 coaches. Full toilet facilities including unisex disabled toilet.
