A huge array of exhibits will guide you through the intriguing history of the town from the early days of the Industrial Revolution through to the modern day World Heritage Site. Museum staff offer advice and help in tracing family histories. See Alexander Cordell's personal effects including his desk and typewriter. Enjoy light refreshments in the coffee shop in the museum.

Opening Times
April - September: Monday-Friday 10am-4pm Saturday 10am-1pm. Closed Sunday. October - March: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 10am-4pm, Saturday 10am-1pm. Closed Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
