Cheltenham’s beautiful Pittville Pump Room gives visitors the chance to step back in time and experience the beautiful architecture of the building. There’s also a wide range of recreational and sporting facilities to enjoy within the splendid grounds of Pittville Park. With its fine Regency style and the world famous Racecourse on its doorstep, the Pump Room and Park provide a fascinating insight into a bygone age, alongside excellent modern leisure facilities.

Built between 1825 and 1830 the Pump Room was planned as the centrepiece of a grandiose estate, belonging to wealthy landowner, politician and entrepreneur, Joseph Pitt. During its Regency heyday it was the largest and most magnificent of several buildings where the renowned Cheltenham Spa Waters could be taken.

From time to time exhibitions can be admitted in the upper rooms of the building. Enjoy spectacular views from the balcony.

The Pump Room is a venue for hire to classical and contemporary live music bands in the hall or outside, and for banquets and dinners, weddings and dances, talks and conferences.
A walk around Pittville Park is a delight in any season, with its open lawns, gracious trees, shrubs and attractive lakes.>br>
You can also enjoy a game of golf on our 18 hole pitch and putt course, play tennis, skateboard and rollerblade, mess about in boats on the lake, or go fishing. An orienteering track takes the active all the way around the Park.
