Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust online: information and bookings

With an astounding array of wildlife from water voles to waders, hares to dragonflies, Slimbridge is home to the world's largest collection of swans, geese, ducks and flamingos.

This beautiful and internationally renowned reserve is unique to the South West and has something to offer visitors during every season from downy duckling days in Spring to breathtaking swan feeds in Winter.

Take a canoe trail through our grounds or let the kids splash and stomp in their wellies at Welly Boot Land, an exciting new outdoor play area. See our new otters and beavers in Back from The Brink (new for Summer 09.) After a full day in the open air enjoy the fabulous vistor’s centre and take a well deserved rest at The Water’s Edge Restaurant then pick up some fantastic souveniers at the gift shop.

Open daily except Christmas Day. 9.30am 5pm (5.30pm April - Oct).
