A delightful ten-bedroomed country house superbly situated in 10.5 acres of lawns, meadows, woods and streams, with magnificent views down an unspoilt wooded valley to the sea.

The house is carefully furnished with many antiques, paintings and interesting old objects. In cool weather there are open log fires in the lounge and dining room and there are plants in profusion - all of which combine to create a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

The bedrooms all have lovely country views and are centrally heated, like the rest of the house, in cold weather. They are all equipped with shower and WC en-suite, colour TV, radio, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone. The beds are modern and comfortable and are fitted with polycotton sheets and light warm duvets in fresh and cheerful colours.

A full English breakfast is served, consisting of tea or coffee, fruit juice, cereals or porridge, followed by egg, bacon, sausage, tomato and mushroom, or choice of egg dishes or kippers and mountains of hot toast, butter or marmalade.

In the evening we serve a four course dinner in our candlelit dining room with its superb views down the valley to the sea, and we have a drinks licence for the convenience of our guests. A typical dinner menu would be: Home made soup with hot crusty bread, followed by honey-roast duck with gooseberry sauce and fresh vegetables according to season, Queen of Puddings, a selection of cheeses from the cheeseboard and fresh fruit. Coffee or tea and after-dinner mints are then served in the dining room or lounge where there is a selection of interesting books for guests to read in front of the open log fire.
