With the largest concentration of iconic buildings, historic ships, museum galleries and attractions in the UK, The Historic Dockyard Chatham is one of Kent’s award winning attractions and one of Britain’s leading maritime heritage destinations. The 80 acres of stunning Georgian and Victorian architecture together with friendly, knowledgeable guides bring 400 years of history to life at the world’s most complete dockyard of the Age of Sail. 2013 is a year of continuous discovery and exploration and tickets are valid for a whole year, enabling you to enjoy an enthralling programme of events, temporary exhibitions - including ‘Exploring Antarctica’ - and family discovery trails and activities.
The wide range of much loved maritime heritage attractions includes three Historic Warships - HMS GANNET (1878) a Victorian Naval Sloop, HM SUBMARINE OCELOT a Cold War Submarine and HMS CAVALIER (1944) a Second World War Destroyer. Other attractions include:-
