Nantyffin Cider Mill Inn online: information and bookings

At the foot of the Black Mountains between Crickhowell and Brecon is the award winning Nantyffin Cider Mill Inn.

Literally translated as ‘the Brook by the border’ The Nantyffin was originally a drovers Inn dating back to the 16th century. Well known for its own production of cider during the 19th century - The Nantyffin is now recognised as one of the great food destinations in Wales. It has been renowned for over ten years for its successful combination of the traditional values of great British pubs with the classic style of the bistros of rural France. Though there is room to eat in the bar, the team at The Nantyffin, have also considerately converted the old apple store to accommodate the ever-growing number of diners that want to indulge in the menu.

Always popular with visitors to the Brecon Beacons National Park and local food lovers alike, the Nantyffin Cider Mill now has a pedigree that attracts diners from across the UK and beyond.

Regular visitors from Europe and the States are likely to be encountered by diners new to the Nantyffin, as well as local family gatherings, peers from the House of Lords and mountain bikers fresh from the surrounding peaks. Former US presidents – Jimmy Carter included - are amongst the list of former patrons.

For well over a last decade, we have cared about the way our produce is grown. We support and develop the best local suppliers to give us the finest produce available and we can therefore create superb menus all year round. But more than this, we believe we have a unique ability to supply produce from Glaisfer Uchaf farm- just 7 miles from farm to plate

We take time and care to raise quality meat and poultry on our own farm and from such great produce create menu’s with invention, tradition, simplicity and style – that always deliver great results. We guarantee a dining experience second to none.

Our daily specials board is always structured around the best fish and shellfish in season. The choicest wild game from nearby country estates and local produce picked in their true harvesting season.
