Guest accommodation consists of Twin, Double and Family rooms - all of which have en-suite facilities and are situated in our converted coaching house, separate to the Inn itself. Ideally placed for visits to the home of Prince Charles at Highgrove House, as well as Gatcombe Park, Westonbirt Arboretum, Badminton, Cheltenham, Bath and of course the rest of The Cotswolds. Welcome to The Royal Oak, an intimate and friendly 300 year old family run Cotswold inn renowned for its fine food, drinks and convivial hospitality. Situated in the small market town of Tetbury and equidistant between Bath & Cheltenham. An ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds; Westonbirt Arboretum, Gatcombe Park and Badminton are all within a 15 minute drive. The inn is sited at one end of the famous Tetbury Woolsack Race which attracts entrants and spectators from all over the world. The Royal Oak combines the best traditions of both bar and restaurant. Choose from our varied and good value pub food menu during the day and gorge yourself on the a la carte menu in the evening. We have a specials board and usually offer a variety of locally sourced game dishes. Breakfast is served between 7.00am - 9.30am and is available for room guests and non-residents. We always try to accommodate diners but as we do get busy we ask that you telephone to reserve a table whenever possible. The ancient cellars of the Royal Oak and skills of the cellar man ensure that our wines and real ales are stored and served to perfection. You're equally welcome for a quick pint or slap up dinner!
