The beautiful Peak District National Park is within a short driving distance away, with its ever changing scenery, sheltered villages and the bleak Peaks towering over them. A little further afield you retrace Robin Hood's footsteps in Sherwood Forest. The town of Nottingham is also within easy driving distance and offers fabulous shopping and museums.
