Your passport to the best private gardens in Scotland and beyond.

spection of hotels, the planning of an attractive and varied itinerary, to the day-by-day running of a tour, we take pains to get all the important details right - but our influence over the weather is strictly limited!

We usually meet the garden owners or head gardeners, who are able to give us their special insight into the unique character of a garden and the process by which it has come into being. As our groups are small, we feel more like a "house party" than a "coach tour", but travelling to the gardens by coach (often with local drivers) we get the best view of the passing scenery and a hassle-free journey.

We stay in comfortable hotels with good food and friendly service. Our tours are aimed at the keen gardener, novice or professional, but also at those who are interested in landscape, historic houses, wildlife, archaeology &c. So long as you enjoy being in beautiful places and meeting new people, we are dedicated to making your short holiday with us a success. Many of our tour participants return year after year and become friends. If you haven't been with us yet, do give us a try!

Our tours usually last for 4 nights: from about 6 p.m. on a Monday to 2 p.m. on the following Friday. This year, by popular request, we have three tours which start on a Sunday, and also three weekends (Friday to Sunday). You are welcome to add on nights at either end of the tour, usually at the preferential group rate. Normally you make your own way to the hotel where the tour is based, and we try to ensure that you can do so by public transport. When this is not possible, we can arrange for guests to be collected by coach or taxi for a small extra charge. We are happy to advise you on your travel arrangements but are not able to make rail/air bookings for you. We strongly recommend that you take out your own travel insurance to cover possible cancellation and your personal belongings while you are away, but Trossachs Garden Tours is covered by Public Liability insurance, as are the coach companies we use.
