Any trip to Carmarthenshire would not be complete without a trip to both Aberglasney Gardens and The National Botanic Garden of Wales.
The former, Aberglasney Gardens is spectacularly set in the beautiful Tywi valley of Carmarthenshire, The gardens have been an inspiration to poets since 1477. The story of Aberglasney spans many centuries, but, the house's origins are still shrouded in obscurity. An enclosed garden created within the central ruins of the mansion known as the 'Ninfarium' won the best garden design/construction project in the UK in 2006.

The Great Glasshouse with the largest single span glasshouse in the world is a wonder to behold and for that reason is on a shortlist for 'The Seven Wonders of Wales'. There are 150 acres of gardens including Garden Lakes, a Japanese Garden, Organic Farm, Woods of the World, Plant Sales, Apothecaries Garden, Science Centre and, quite frankly, a list far too long to mention but an absolute must upon your visit to Carmarthenshire.
